TIMES IN CALENDAR ARE DISPLAYED AS PACIFIC TIME
This is a virtual sesh with Koala and Sasha Hippie!
Grab your old your clothes and let's give them a new life with some toilet bowl cleaner. It's not what it sounds like. Certain toilet bowl cleaners are great to use for tie dying with bleach!
WHEN: Sunday, September 27th at 12pm PDT/ 3pm ET
WHERE: Zoom - large group sesh!
This tie dying technique uses bleach instead of colored dye to create really cool patterns on clothing. Especially good for sprucing up those old colored t-shirts you have just laying around.
What you need:
- a dark-colored cotton shirt, or other garment
- Clorox toilet bowl cleaner with bleach (with the squirt tip - like this)
- a pair of gloves
- several rubber bands
- a garbage bag, cardboard box (something to work on that will protect your area)
- water - for rinsing the shirt (you will also have to wash the shirt but that will be after)
IMPORTANT: Because we'll be working with bleach products, we recommend you do this project outdoors, or in a very well ventilated space. If you're indoors, consider wearing a mask/respirator.
We recommend you join this session on a computer because the Zoom app will allow you to view more screens at once. But, a phone will work just fine too!
-You must use a valid and working email, this will be the email used for your confirmation and delivery of your Zoom link. Your link will be delivered 1 hour before the class.
5% of your purchase will be donated directly to organizations supporting the fight against racial inequality.
